Ingredients for making Sadia oven-roasted turkey:

1 unit of thawed seasoned turkey + giblets

4 tablespoons of unsalted creamy margarine

For the stuffing of farofa:

3 units of thin guanabara sausage cut into slices

 1 pack of turkey giblets

 3½ cups of cornmeal

 1 unit of chopped onion

3 tablespoons of unsalted creamy margarine

15 units of pitted green olives

1 unit of seedless minced chili pepper

6 pieces of dwarf banana slices

 ½ cup of black raisins

1 cup of chopped green scent

 salt

How to make Sadia oven-roasted turkey:

The first step in this stuffed turkey recipe is to remove the giblets bag from the turkey and cook the gizzards and neck in salted water until tender. Then chop the gizzards, liver and heart and shred the neck. Reserve.

Continue preparing the stuffed turkey farofa: in a pan, saute the onion in the margarine. When golden, add the giblets and saute, add the sausage and let it brown. Add the remaining farofa ingredients, adjust the flavor with salt and set aside.

With the help of a spatula or with your hands, carefully separate the turkey skin from the meat (on the breast, as shown), and spread 2 tablespoons of the margarine under the skin.

TIP: Instead of margarine, try adding cilantro and lemon butter. It will be tastier!

Insert the crumb into the cavity of the turkey, and squeeze it well with a spoon, so that it becomes compact. Close with toothpicks or a needle and thread, tie the legs together and place the turkey on a baking sheet. Bake in a preheated oven at 250ºC for 20 minutes.

Tip: If you can't fill the turkey with all the crumbs, set aside the rest to serve with the turkey ready.

After this time, cover the turkey with aluminum foil and place it in the oven again, this time at 200ºC for 1 hour. Remove the paper, brush the turkey with the remaining margarine, and return to the oven for another 1 hour.

After roasting, the turkey will be ready to be served. Serve this recipe for roasted turkey in the Sadia oven with the remaining farofa and a simple salad. Try this recipe on Thanksgiving, Christmas or any other special occasion, and bon appetit!
